do you offer Dinner cruises or dinner Boat Tours in Washington DC?
Dinner boat tours, dinner cruises, bring your own dinner, sunset dinners, take out dinner, dinner drop offs, etc.… you name it (and give us enough time), we can make it work, yes!
Q: Can you organize a catered dinner aboard one of your boats?
A: Yes. With enough notice we can do that. Call us to discuss what makes the most sense for you. Our yacht option allows for a more robust meal, though it’s still relatively informal.
Q: Can we bring our own food onto the boat and make it a BYO dinner cruise?
A: Yes to that too. In fact, you’re welcome to bring food and drink aboard as you wish. (No red wine on the larger cruiser.)
Q: Can we integrate a nice dinner into our cruise at a restaurant along the water?
A: Yes again! We could schedule the cruise just after dinner or drop you off at the dock before before your waterfront dinner reservation. We can even take you to dinner, wait while you dine, and then return to your original location. Check out the details page for each location for our favorite waterfront restaurant recommendations.
Q: What is the maximum number of dinner guests on your boats?
A: Six (6) is the USCG maximum number. On our open boats, as shown here, there is a small table we can set up. So, dinner is usually with a plate on your lap when you’re more than two—boaty and casual! We do offer a larger yacht with a larger dining table, but it still doesn’t seat six people at once. There are enough additional tables aboard the yacht option for all six guests to be seated in the same room, however. Call for details.
Q: Can we do a dinner sunset cruise, and drop the anchor for the sunset?
A: Yes! Well, assuming Mother Nature cooperates with the sunset part (she usually does). We can cruise through sunset, or sit on anchor and just watch quietly while you eat. And, on the larger yachts, you can enjoy the bow loungers in private all the way through the very last rays.
Q: Can we have dinner delivered to the boat while we’re underway or on anchor?
A: Wow… Now you’re getting really creative, but… sometimes, yes! When our friends, Nautifoods, are operating, they can come to the boat and cook a casual but delicious meal, with dessert options. This will require some clever coordination and flexibility, but it can be done sometimes.
Q: What about dinner dates?
A: Yes, of course. We can also take you to and/or from one of the many romantic waterfront restaurants our beautiful city has on offer. Let us know if you need recommendations.
Q: Can I propose to my future husband/wife on your boats during a dinner cruise?
A: Yes. And by they way, they all say, “Yes!” We’ve already had almost 50 marriage proposals on our boats with a 100% “yes” rate!
Q: But is it a romantic dinner when the captain is aboard?
A: Well, that’s a valid point on the open boats. But, our captains can get the hint and let you chat and enjoy your dinner without joining in the conversation. On the larger cruiser, you can have the salon and dining area to yourselves, and the captain can remain on the bridge level. That does afford you a much more private dinner cruise. (It’s also a great time to pop the question.)
